Hi Everyone.....I have a problem.
I have a DVB-S card in my computer to get freeview satellite TV.
The problem is that now and again two of the transponders drop out.
The freeview channels are mostly on 12456H and 12483H, although there are a couple of channels duplicated on 12671H.
The odd thing is that 12671 NEVER drops out.
Also in pure "IPR Receiver" mode, all TP's are always there with excellent signal quality, but when I switch to "TV" mode those two TP's (12456 and 12483) show no signal at all.
I assume that because all TP's show up on the satellite, and that 12671 is always there, that the dish, LNB and cabling are fine (it's an ex-Sky dish).
The problem appears to be something to do with the interface between the two "sections" of the card (or its programming), or between the card and my computer.
The computer is an AMD athlon 1.8Ghz running 2GB of RAM on Windows XP home...
Any ideas, guys????

12671 is Sky transponder.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Sounds like the skew is out on your LNB. There are uplinks on frequencies around 12483V which will affect 12483H if your skew isn't accurate.

The easiest and simplest way would be to ring an up aerial/sat tv installer to come around and fix it for you.

Or if you want a more DIY approach:
Get up next to your dish and rotate the lnb until you get a lock on your channel. Mark the lnb in that sport, then rotate until the channel drops again and mark the lnb there. Halfway is likely to be your best bet (ish) for the optimised location.

Awesome, thanks Jaxon....will borrow my neighbour's ladder and give that a try as soon as it stops raining.
I do have a satellite finder meter.....Would that refine the process at all?

no, not really. If it's aligned correctly, the best way to adjust the skew is to rotate the LNB checking on the set top box for quality etc. For most LNB's it should be on a plane from about 10 o'clock to 4 o'clock.
