I am about to purchase a panasonic tv with a built in freeview HD tuner but i know i cant get freeview HD at my current location . is it possible to stil buy the panasonic tv with the freeview HD tuner and just have satellite freeview?

You can - but you can't use the built in tuner. You will need to purchase a satellite Freeview box to connect to the TV.

Yes. But you will need a separate satellite decoder box, dish, etc.

if not intending to move into a freeview|HD area you could see if there are models that don't come with the tuner to save yourself some money...but I think most do come with it now, it only took about 18 months for all sets to include the new digital tuners (from when the first ones came out)
