Just wondering what "channel 7", "channel 9" and "channel 10" are on this NZ free-to-air satellite channel list? Are they unused channels or something?

They are Australian channels that are used for temporary broadcasts, e.g. sometimes when a reporter is on location. They are raw feeds, so it can be pretty funny sometimes to see them prep for the shoot getting their hair done, swearing etc. However they are quite transient and you can normally only find them by luck with a blind scan.
