So i recently replaced the downstairs flat freeview box, having given the previous working one away to my daughter, with an HSM-075 purchased off trademe.

I assumed it would be 'plug n play' pretty much as the last one was. Anyway, it shows signal strength up at around 80% but does not show any signal quality.

The current settings I have (although I have tried playing around with them - not really knowing what Im doing) are:

LNB Type - 10750
LNB offset - 0V
SAtellite - Optus D1
TV Channel - NZ Free

I have also noticed it gives a bit of a loud pop through the speakers when turning on.

Running the above setup it says "No channels found".

Some help please :-)

I've decommissioned my Hills freeview box. I can't remember what it needs the LNB frequency set at, but try a few differents rates - wait a few seconds after changing to see if you start to get signal quality. The other settings look ok.

If you don't get any signal quality you may need to go into another part of the settings (backtrack a level or two from where the above reading was taken) and check your polarity is set to horizontal.

Sorry for being a bit vague... I can haul my old decoder out a bit later and check the settings if the above suggestions don't work and no-one else has piped up with a better answer.

Make sure the lnb power is set to ON in the menu first up.
Then try 11500 as the LNB type if you have no luck with the current setting of 10750.

You're on your way if you're able to get to the menu, means the box is powering up and you've got it connected to the TV correctly.

Hmm played around with the settings - still cant seem to get signal quality - there is an option to set up a new satellite, but that looks quite techy - e.g. not sure what DISEQC switches are and satellite local east/west, degrees etc.

Also the signal strength seems to hover around 50-60% mark now.

Bump - the signal quality shows briefly before disappearing, with the signal strength being at 50-75%.

Any more help welcome :-)
