Sometimes when I switch to freeview dvb-t TV3 there is no sound but picture is fine. The problem is fixed by changing to another channel then back to TV3 again. It only happens randomly and not very often. It's not the end of the world but I would like to know why and eliminate the issue if possible. I'm using spdif if that makes a difference

Anyone got any ideas?

OK just saw others have had similar issues. I have all correct codecs installed and this only happens on random occasions. Most of the time is fine.

What software are you using? The issue would certainly be in your setup and now the Freeview broadcasts itself.

Does your system fixate of AAC sound?  I think it's been missing for a while and only the AC3 is running, or the streams have been reversed - ac3 used to be 2nd stream.

I only say this as my samsung tv you can't choose sound scheme, and it used to grab the 1st stream the he-aac....now it uses ac3
