Hey guys,

Currently running a Windows 7 box in the lounge and it's a bity of an overkill for freeview/watching media.  I was wanting to reutilise it as a ESX host so that means I need to look at replacements =/

Initially I was looking at a PS3+Playtv (I won't use the bluray, but I would play the occasional game - but I already have a Xbox so not a big driver there).  That would most likely set me back around $750 all up, which is a bit more than I wanted to spend, and I've heard Playtv isn't really that good - I'm counting on this doing HD as well?

Another option I was looking at was a Freeview cheapie set from the warehouse (or one of the DSE ones) and getting a WDTV Media Player.  That would likely cost me less than the PS3 option, anywhere between 4-500 dollars.  At the moment, that's the more preferred solution.

Of course, I'm open to suggestions - are there are any propriertry Freeview/Media player dual role boxes available for less than 600 that are any good?  Appreciate any suggestions.
