Hi,

First post on here. I have been trying to connect a philex av sender to my bt vision box via scart. When i connect to the box and then connect the receiver to the tv in the bedroom i do not get a picture. The back of the bt vision box has two scarts - tv and aux. I have tried both of these. The scart on the receiver has been plugged into my ext 2 scart socket on the tv.

My tv that is connected directly to the bt box is connected via hdmi.

I am a complete novice to this and welcome any information you could supply to enable me to get this working.

Thank you

How far is it between the devices? What sort of walls and floors do you have?

If possible, I would put the two devices in the same room, to try and rule out the philex system. Also, do you know that the ports on the TV/STB work?

Scart connectors can be wired up differently in different devices. Some do better video out like component etc, and others aren't even wired for this. Check your scart adaptor perhaps, especially if it is one that has an in/out selection switch on it.

The scarts aren't like Sky are they? (where they can be set to different video standards out from a menu)
