hay i hav seen these are quite cheep on trade me. i have been looking for a pvr so that i can record gameplay off my ps3. i was wondering if any1 knows if this is posible with the digistar??

If you use the search function on this site you'll see a few threads pertaining to Digistar 810u & 811u's.

On the whole I think those that have them are reasonably happy, particularly given they're fairly inexpensive.

I don't think a satellite receiver is the best choice for video capture. Ideally, what you're looking for is some kind of video capture device for a computer.

Video capture card in your PC would be a better choice if you want a digital copy of your PS3 gaming.... if just want if recorded on anything, then an old video recorder will work fine.
