Hi,

I'm wanting to pick up a STB for an extra TV and i've not read anything thats sold me on one brand over another - to be honest the reviewsmake them all sound about as rubbish as each other! Freezing up & overheating.

All I want is HDMI out, optical out would be nice to but not essential.

Any Advice?

To be honest, I think the official Zinwell one is probably the best now, or it's DSE rebadge equivalent.

Doesn't do anything fancy, like record to USB etc, but does do everything well and doesn't hang etc, just runs hot, but still runs none the less, and has great easy user interface and the proper MHEG5 EPG.

What do others think?

I'd be inclined to agree, you can get it quite cheap now as well. Definitly can't/won't recommend the Draco HDTV5500 due to the issues myself and many others have had with the box itself and the NZ distributor.

I think I saw the Zinwell box at JB Hi Fi for $188 recently. I have two, they just go.
