Giday Geekzone people, i would like to request if anyone here could lead me to a place where i can find easy to understand info on how to setup a MythTV freeview nz media pc with Linux Ubuntu. i searched over the web and a lot of technical stuff give me headaches i thought linux was easier to use.

easiest way is probably with mythbuntu
are you using terrestrial Freeview HD or satellite Freeview

I recommend you use a nvida video card 800 series and above
to take advantage of GPU HD decoding

lots of information here but you may have to dig for it
or suscribe to the NZ mythtv mailing list
