Hi there
I brought a Digistar DSS-811 and plugged it into the tv. My tv is a Philips 100Hz digital scan. Im using a UHF aerial (and have tried using the sky dish) but all i keep getting is the no or bad signal message.

Does anyone know what i need to do to get a signal??

Digistar is a DVB-S receiver and will NEVER work with a UHF aerial.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Well try again, check the LNB frequency, should be either 11300 or 10750 MHz.

yes - the digistar comes set to default lnb 11300 while most (but not all) sky dishes use a 10750 lnb - so you will need to change this setting.
When I bought my digistar unit it came with a specific note related to this. Did you not get this info when you purchased?

Don't forget to read the instructions. If you have purchased a unit that hasn't been pre-tuned you'll need to select the correct satellite and tune in the freeview channels.
