High all new to geekzone so please bear with me.

I am a freeview installer based in the bay of plenty and I have a customer that has 2 of the DTVS freeview boxes running off  a 60 cm sky dish complaining about pixelation claims that it only happens during the news when they cut away to weather update.

I naturaly thought faulty dual LNB so replaced with a strong.

Have tested N/C 11.8 & BER4.5E-5 with my satelite meter but customer says problem still persists.

Any ideas?

How have they got the boxes connected to the TV?
Have they got the TV and box configured to the correct aspect ratio?

Sounds like a display problem to me, in that it works fine at other times. There may be something in the way the TV is handling the type of graphics shown during the weather report. Aspect ratio check and a good quality hdmi or component connection between box and TV might help in this respect.

Could also be related to any TV 'enhancement options' that are doing something odd to the graphics as well. So try experimenting with the noise enhancement type options that TV's tend to come with now.
