hi all,

I'm looking for a Satellite Receiver PVR as a xmas present for family, and wondering what you would recommend. I have around $200 - $400 to spend.

fammily want to receive the free channels and maybe some other sat's later on..

look forward to hearing from you all with ideas. cheers.

I use a Digistar 811U unit which has PVR function, however records to an external drive, not built in. Does the job tho quite happily, do a search on this site and youll find a lot of info on them. The EPG is lacking however, only does 1 day at a time.

Was $120 from TradeMe a while back , I think they have a slightly newer model available now.
