Hi Guys..... problem.....
I have a DVB-S card in my PC for freeview TV.... It's connected to an ex-sky dish, but has a problem.....
On cold, overcast or wet days..... no worries...works perfectly on all channels. When it's hot and fine (like today), as soon as the sun is high and it's getting hot, I lose signal.
I suspect that my LNB is going home....... am I right?
They are cheap, so it's probably worth getting another one (LO 10750) to try it.... what do you think?
Cheers,
            Kathryn

Yes, they die like that often. Heat makes the LO drift out of tollerance and it gets worse with age.

Or try fudging the LO a few MHz and see if it gets better. I cant recall if it goes up or down however.

Coolies..... thanks for that.... will try the frequency shift (I wondered about that before I made the post!). I have ordered another LNB..... Goodness knows how old the present one is... It was here when I rented the house and looks very weathered....
thanks again.... xoxoxo

What shape was the old one? The round type or the larger oval type?

You may well find it goes back to normal in the evening when it cools down, I've struck a couple lately
