We just got a new big screen TV here, but it doesn't detect TV Works or Kordia channels. TVNZ works perfectly. We're using a pair of bunny ears, but I've used them with a USB stick tuner in the same room which got all the channels, and we have a line of sight to the transmitter (Mt Cargill).
I tried manually inputting the channel frequencies for MtC but the TV scanned both the Kordia and TV Works frequencies without detecting anything.
The TV is a Samsung LCD LED UA40C6200.

I had a similar issue where the USB stick got channels the TV couldn't on the same aerial. Getting a proper roof one resolved it.

Any logic behind that? It seems odd that TVNZ has absolutely perfect reception and Kordia and TV Works gets nothing.

bunny ears or a UHF indoor antenna?

Try retracting the prongs if its bunny ears, and allign them different ways, the $3 one with the loop at the dollar store worked great for me when I couldnt be bothered running a cable.

Because each set of digital channels are broadcast on different  channels so will have slightly different RF characteristics. As soon as you said "rabbit ears" I thought nothing wrong with TV, customer has crap aerial and is hardly even worth replying to.
Ever heard the "term garbage in garbage out". Get a real aerial!!

Bunny ears. Retracting the prongs worked great, got the TV Works channels. No Kordia yet though, will play around with it more. Thanks a lot.

Maybe your next leap of intelligence could be to work out the wavelengths for each of the 3 channels/muxes.  Then you'll realise that the physical characteristics of the aerial don't match the frequencies at all well if each rod should only be 1/4 wavelength.
