it would help if you told us the make and model of your set top box receiver. Also the Satellite  you should be looking for is OPTUS D1. try scanning that. If you can't pick up OPTUS D1 then you dish might not be aligned correctly assuming you have it connected to one.

Optus D1 replaced B1. You might want to try scanning Optus B1. Make sure you have the following two transponders:

Frequency = 12456 MHz
Polarity = Horizontal
Symbol Rate = 22500
FEC = 3/4

Frequency = 12483 MHz
Polarity = Horizontal
Symbol Rate = 22500
FEC = 3/4

I tried those number but they did not work. Also I have a LNB configuration option in my reciever where it shows LNB type, High LO, Low LO etc... Do you think there is something wrong there?

Probably, given things aren't working. Maybe you can tell us what the current settings are so that we can help you.

I'm with Spyware - that was the second thing I was going to ask.
The most common settings for those fields in NZ would be:

Low LO = 10750 MHz
High LO = 10750 MHz
Switch = 12750 / 0 MHz

Low LO = 11300 MHz
High LO = 11300 MHz
Switch = 12750 / 0 MHz

The name of the satellite doesn't really matter but yes Optus B1 is the one to go for on your list.

The older non approved satellite boxes will have to be set up manually so you'll have to work through the settings until the bars start to show both strength AND quality on the setup screens. All the info you require has been listed above.

First point of call is to work out what type of LNB you have. Go outside and look at the dish you are using. The LNB is the bit on the end of the dish arm. It sits out there looking back towards the dish surface. If the 'face' of the LNB is round, about the size of a tennis ball, then you most probably have a 11300 LNB and should use those settings.

If the face of the LNB is oval, like a can of coke size or something, then you probably have a 10750 LNB and should use those settings.

Once you have the correct LNB setup you need to go back and search each of the two frequencies mentioned above to get all the channels you need.

Good Luck!
