Odds are it's poor signal.

You don't say what OS, Video card and codec you are using all these are very relevent also.

What version of the Cyberlink decoder? I don't see why you're bothering with this, the build in Microsoft DTV decoder does a far better job.

Pixelating in every app will be a signal problem.

You may have a faulty connector somewhere between the aerial and input

Have the antenna and cabling checked and then get back to us.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

freeviewfan: my antenna is set up fine

Given that the same setup works fine at your friend's house, it looks like the only difference is the antenna, so that (or the cabling to it) is likely to be the problem.

There is no relationship between the codec you use and the software you use.

The Microsoft DTV codec can be used in any TV software that supports it. There is no need to use Media Centre just to use the Microsoft codec. All the major TV apps like GB-PVR, Media Portal, DVBViewer etc all use it.
