my antenna is set up fine my pc is  core 2 duo 2gb ram and i use TVEnhance made by cyberlink to play the tv as its the only app to even play the tv back 100% without pixalteing

not all the time dose my tv do this its off and on sometimes i turn it on and its fine for a wile and then bad then fine for couple of mins then bad again when i feel like rec c4 overnight it rec fine sometime it will
pixalate like 2 or 3 times but it wont be that bad

why is this dose anybody know and is there a way to fix it would i need a stronger uhf antenna as ive taken my usb tv tuner to a mates house just up the road and it works fine he has same pc specs as mine dose and use same app to watch tv as i do so i know its not the tuner as it works fine at his house

Odds are it's poor signal.

You don't say what OS, Video card and codec you are using all these are very relevent also.

windows 7 nvidia geforce 8400 h.264 cyberlink as it uses my video card to decode the video that y im able to even get a pic other apps give me nothing or it pixaltes so bad

What version of the Cyberlink decoder? I don't see why you're bothering with this, the build in Microsoft DTV decoder does a far better job.

Pixelating in every app will be a signal problem.

You may have a faulty connector somewhere between the aerial and input

thanks guys i can get tvnz 100% fine now never pixaltes but i get no signal for all other channels or i get video for 2sec then no signal

Have the antenna and cabling checked and then get back to us.

yeps, wouldnt even bother with cyberlink, wmc in windows 7 plays every channel with no problems.

Given that the same setup works fine at your friend's house, it looks like the only difference is the antenna, so that (or the cabling to it) is likely to be the problem.

that app sucks as it rec in wtv witch i can't edit this app can VideoReDo TVSuite V4 but crashes if if the audio is aac it but if its from tv3 where the audio is ac3 im able to edit it in that app

but no apps but windows media center will play back the video :(

so that is why i use cyberlink as it rec to .ts so its easy to edit anything i rec

There is no relationship between the codec you use and the software you use.

The Microsoft DTV codec can be used in any TV software that supports it. There is no need to use Media Centre just to use the Microsoft codec. All the major TV apps like GB-PVR, Media Portal, DVBViewer etc all use it.
