i was changing channel at the front of the box lost remote (found it now) then it would not change from four and had the info bar up saying what channel it is and time and did not go away so i turned off the box and now it will not turn back on please help :(

Have you tried unplugging for a while, then having a another go. Seen the odd one overheat then not work after a cool down they work again.

Freeviewfan, have you tried contacting the place you purchased it from?
Sounds like a warranty issue... even if the supplier has gone under (not your problem).

left it off last night unplugged still will not turn back on :(

try a new power supply,, those zinwells are well known for crapping out

Have you contacted the store where you bought this from and asked for a warranty repair? If not, then you are missing on your rights and there is no excuse for that.
