My Homecast HT9200DTR is not doing OTA update just released:
http://www.dtvs.co.nz/forum/index.php?topic=193.0

Keeps rebooting with the current firmware active. I currently have one of the betas installed, could this be the problem?

I'll give their customer service a call tomorrow anyway.

Try changing to TV One. See what happens. Beta firmware should not be a problem.

Thanks, thats doing the trick. Just FYI, the CVI (component) video out does not work during firmware updates, but this is easly fixed by running a composite cable during the process.

Not that you need to do this, unless you are a geek and want to watch the status bar progress.

Mine did it last night. Seems a little smoother and I think the remote is slightly more responsive, but it doesnt seem to have changed anything much. I did have to change the frequency that prime etc picked up from after the update though so I dont know what happened there.

Upgrade wiped my future recordings list. (has there always been a limit of 15 ?)
EPG seems a lot faster.

dtvs: Try changing to TV One.
Is this a serious requirement?!

Doesn't it cost a heap to do and OTA update?
Who watches TV1? - So what's the chances of the public actually being on this channel.

Or is it just to have a tuner on the TVNZ Mux? - Which is better and more likely to happen.

I believe it just needs to be on the TVNZ mux.

EPG does seem better. I still have 20 recordings on mine, It didn't delete any. I found 30 used to be the limit.

That would expain it, I was on TV3 initially. There is so far little change over the beta updates that I was using. These were really important for my particular setup.

Forgot to mention that. the betas did it too.

Needs to be in TVNZ Mux as software is transmitted by TVNZ.

Next Update just came through last night.
It said it was going to do it then hung for a long time. I turned it off at the switch and when I turned it on again and it booted into the update mode. Was fine after that and ran through update happily.
Odd though, all the shows I had booked were still in the recording section, but didnt show up on the EPG. If I tried to book them it just said it was already booked. Deleted them all and rebooked, fine now and all showing up on EPG and recording menu.
Still no major changes overall. Just seems a little faster and smoother and hopefully we wont have the endless reboot thing again now.
