Hi,
I've got one of these boxes for the bedroom and I'm pretty interested in the networking aspect of it, hopefully eventually it will eliminate the need for a media player in the bedroom too.  I've got the latest firmware off their website.

When I connect the box to the network it connects, and will get weather info etc but when I go to the ethernet settings which are set to auto the ip address is 0.0.0.0 and it doesn't show on my DCHP table.  Does anyone else have this IP address issue?

It also finds my Media PC but doesn't actually find any Media.  Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

Cheers

Dont worry about it. Its a feature that the developers haven't implemented yet/doesnt work.

To clarify; What I should of said is that the eNet Button features work, but that the Media center feature does not. Hope that helps

How does the enet work without an IP address though?

Hopefully they keep working on the media player,  that would make the unit complete for me.

Yip, enet works, not playback from a media server.

ALthough the PVR finds media servers on the network, can even browse the files. It just can't play them. Not sure why they allowed for this if its not supported as it just adds to everyone confusion.

It uses DHCP, which means it auto assigned itself an address. You have the option of entering a fixed address if you want to. It still has an IP Address.
