Um, have you got a spare sky decoder laying around?
I thought you had to give them back after you came off the contract?

Sky basic package gets all the freeview channels anyway...

You can end up with one if you have been burgled, put a claim in and pay sky their exorbitant amount for the box out of insurance, and then it turns up abandoned down the back of the garden and sky and the insurance company cant be bothered to sort it out or recover it.

You could probably go through a process of reengineering the code and flash it so that it could be used as a DVB-S QPSK tuner to receive Freeview. The SD channels on Sky are basically the same as the Freeview satellite channels.

But you wouldn't end up with the MHEG EPG and it's much less hassle to buy a cheap sat box from the warehouse... what are they now? $80??

don't mess with me.... i'm the hd insider....

Yes it can but only through sky and you would have to pay $18 a month, if you did this you would not be able to go back to prime only service.
