Hey, I was just wondering why i can get channel Seven feeds but not the actual channel, would anyone be able to explain please?

Are you in Australia or NZ? How are you watching ie DVB-S? What is your set up that your receiving on? A little more info would be helpful...

I'm in New Zealand, Northland, recieving sat tv on a 1-m sat dish, with a strong digital reciever, recieving 26 tv channels including sbs and channel 7 feeds, but i am unable to recieve the actual channel 7.

channel 7 on C1 is encrypted

Don't think Ch7Au actually use D1 Sat for their channel. They do use C1(encrypted). But like a lot of NZ/Au networks they use D1 for live news/weather/sports feeds.
Ch7, Ten & Skynews live feeds can be found all over D1/D2 & over time you learn to recognise which frequencies each network prefers.
