Noticed again tonight some issues with Prime pixellating and having signal drop outs. No issues on any other channels, and line of sight to Mt KauKau.

I wonder if the weather affects the transmission, there is lowish heavy looking cloud tonight in Wellington, and I am pretty sure similar conditions existed last time we had these issues.

Any thoughts would appreciated.

Jon , if your system is up to scratch it should not esp if you have LOS.
Could be lack of / too much signal , dodgy connections /flyleads , or b anything that will put you under / over threshold

I have the same issue with Kaukau. Nearly, but not quite LOS (it is LOS from the top of my drive). TVNZ and Canwest Muxes are fine, even on amplified bunny ears on the upstairs TV. However, even on the main TV (new rooftop UHF aerial cut for the Freeview frequencies, with a masthead amp also fitted) I can't drag in the Kordia Mux - the other two work fine. Wondering if it is something specific to do with Kaukau......

In the end I added more to the spaghetti wiring in the living room by splitting my sky connection and feeding to a cheap (circa $79) Transonic sat box from the warehouse. No great loss, as those stations (as far as I can recall) aren't HD anyway. Cost was trivial - STB plus less than $20 for the splitter.

Worth noting this is only the Prime channel. Not sure which mux that sits on, I guess Kordia, but seems very odd as Mediaworks and TVNZ muxes are perfect.

Might have to have a play.
