I'm trying to hook up a 320g hdd  to my openbox S10  for PVR and it is not reading the drive. Tried both NTFS  and FAT32. Anyone got any suggestions?
Cheers
Pete

Can the unit format the drive itself? Some have seriously odd file systems, though most read FAT32 at least.

I have the Openbox S9 and it only seems to work with drives with an external power supply.

Seems common:

These guys are the NZ agents for Ultraplus etc, and include the openbox S9 unit on their site:

Have you tried changing the firmware ? mind you its ok as long as you have dont have a clone s9/s10 box.
I have had a s10 for a while now. The only problem I have with it is when I record something it cannot play back properly I get an error stating something like my 'HDD speed not fast enough'.
I have tried most of the s10 firmware with mixed results and have read s9 firmware works on it and am now trying different s9 firmware.

Thanks for suggestions. Updated firmware and still doesn't  work with the WD 320g drive. Works with Toshiba drive and with memory stick, but not the one I want.
Thanks again
