Hi,
I just got a new tv for my room, but the reception does not work!
We have a TV in the lounge with a power supply for a 2-way splitter, and the splitter says it is all ports power pass, so does this not mean that I only need to be powering the amp from one aerial socket?

The reception in my room works when I have the power pack on the socket in my room, but then the TV in the lounge has no signal, and vice versa.

Do I need another power pack for my room, or is there something wrong?

Cheers.

Hi, exactly what splitter is it, you may require diode steering or probably just a single port DC pass. Currently whatever is on the the other port may be shorting the DC out.

Thanks for the reply!

The splitter does not have a brand named, it just has:

2-Way Splitter
5-900mHz
All Ports Power Passing

Hope that helps.

Hi, as mentioned its most likely the DC is being shorted by the other end, its best to not use a power pass all ports but just a single pass or diode steer to stop such issues.

So would something like this do the trick?
