I get terrestrial TV of Kaukau in Wellington. I am in a bit of a hollow with poor reception - currently I can receive the TVNZ and Mediaworks Muxes well (even on powered bunny ears upstairs), but the Kordia mux is a "no show" even on a new rooftop aerial with a masthead amp. The Muxes off Kaukau transmit on 690, 706 and 778 MHz (corresponding to UHF channels 48,50 and 59). Presumably the Kordia Mux is 778 MHz, as the higher the frequency the less forgiving reception tends to be.

The going digital website states: "As part of the digital switch, the frequencies on which some Freeview channels are broadcast will change. Most Freeview approved set-top boxes and televisions will automatically retune to the new frequencies."

What I have been unable to find, and was wondering if anyone here knows, is the answer to any/all of the following:
1.  Will the frequencies used for terrestrial transmission from Kaukau change?
2.  If so, have the announced the frequencies that they will change to?

As far as I can determine, the new frequency allocation hasn't been published.

I am holding off on some re-cabling decisions until I can find out. For instance, I have to decide whether to cable the rooftop UHF aerial and/or the sat dish to my bedroom, and whether to see if any further up-speccing of the aerial is likely to be necessary, useful or feasible.
