Really!?!
You can get LAMP hosting in .nz at competitive prices, but the demand for that platform is low and the software is expensive.

timmmay: My overseas host has uptime between 99.5 and 99.9% most months, often 100%, according to various monitoring systems I use. Maintenance windows may be during our day, but they're exceedingly rare.
insane: Maintenance times are always excluded from SLAs, so really all you're confirming is that your app/site is adequately redundant or your provider never does patching :)
timmmay: just fewer people using the servers therefore less people to cover the costs?
