WOW, such awesome feedback, thank you.

We will be moving to a Hybrid model.  I was trying to make things clear cut by having a single place were servers live instead of three: cloud, on Prem or Data Centre.  Turns out there are lots of factors that dictate the best place for hosting to live.

We will be pushing into the cloud for production sites.  Other stuff, such as Dev/Staging/warm standby etc will be in the Data Centre.  We will push most of what is currently in the office (on prem) to the Data Centre.

Again, thanks for taking the time to provide such positive and useful feedback.

Cheers

One of the handy things about having dev / test in the cloud is you can turn them off outside the usual 9-5 people work, plus the weekend, for a savings of about 70%. It's good to have your environments the same, but not essential.
