Hi,

In the past we have always used the generic VMware ESXi disk which has worked fine, but I see HP do their own version of the disk with a few bits installed. Has anyone used this at all? Is there any real advantage?

Thanks

I think they have slightly more relevant driver support but beyond that not much different at all.

It will include updated drivers for HP hardware like the RAID controller etc, saves you worrying about it when doing a standard ESXi install.

Helps with recognising some hardware so you don't get the "Unknown" statuses.

Thanks guys, just been talking to someone who pointed out HP may be less willing to help in a support case if we are not using their version. Might just download the HP version and migrate the host I think.
