Hi.
I imagine there must be a website of forum or something where I could put a request for proposals? that is to say, I need a website built and want to receive some proposals to do the work. it needs to be Drupal based, so i thought maybe NZ Drupal developers have some sort of place for such requests?  cheers

How long is a piece of string? You may not need a developer, as many of the things can be done by just installing the software with a quality web host, buying a template, and getting plugins that may do what you want. But if you don't want to do any of that, then you will need a developer. I would sugest writing a comprehensive brief along with ideas and designs you like. This will get you a more accurate estimate. Otherwise you will get a ballpark figure which could range between 3k-20k etc depending on how much custom work needs doing. Custom programming is what costs a lot.

Sent you a PM.

The guy I sent you does this but is also an active member of that community and will set you right for getting a range of proposals.
