I'm sure someone on this board has gone through the processes of getting these certs. I'm at university and would like to take these courses alongside my CS degree to give me a foot up in the world after uni.
I was wondering where to take them, who to contact, how much it is, and just general knowledge about the courses.

Just hit up google and see which providers are offering them.  There are pretty standard courses to take for these, or you can just book exams and self-study.  When I sat them exams were around the $200 mark.

Yeah you can buy/study the books yourself and phone a 0800 no. which gets diverted to Malaysia where they book your exam room in NZ or anywhere in the world. Some of the providers may offer a diploma with some other courses like ms offices, intro to computing, history, human factors etc etc ... and on the side they have a few of these certification modules that is optional and if you do them you get the certs direct from the certification provider like COMPTIA or Microsoft etc.
