Hey guys,
We are looking to implement a proximity card access system for our offices. The requirements are:

Multiple Zones
Works across different geographic locations
Some kind of battery backup
Some kind of API or integration ability (we want to link it to a security system, perhaps Ubiquiti mfi based)

Ideally it would integrate with Active Directory too.

Been told of cardax but not sure how much it costs and whether it stacks up. I saw that the metal door magnets are like $50.00 on Ali Express so not sure if there are prebuilt systems or software packages where we can roll our own either.

Anyone have experience here?

We have Cardax at work across multiple offices in different cities and different people have varying access to different parts of the buildings. Does that answer your first two questions?

I'm just a user of the system so no idea about the rest :)

Have used paradox systems with NEware software - worked OK - auto unlock and lock doors at various times of the day swipe access different zones - unsure it it can be used across different locations on one database though as ours was set up stand alone but we could programme tags from other sites manually into our system.
