a pastor friend has tried to get on his home church website but using IE9 or Firefox comes up error 403. Firefox says error 403 country NZ has been blacklisted.  He contacted the church and their IT department says they havent blacklisted but it appears NZ is blacklisting their site.  How can we find where the problem lies.  He was with TelstraClear and I am with Vodafone and I get same message.  the site is www.timberlakebaptist.org

This is in their server configuration. They have to sort this out.

That means it is their end and not ours. I will let him know.  Thanks for the quick response

NZ has not blacklisted the site. Server admin put a 403 response for visitors with NZ IP addresses. This is something the server admin has done.

I just tried connecting from Japan and also get

403: Access Forbidden
Your country (JP) has been blacklisted.

Hardly surprising though - not too many christians in Japan so they are probably actively blocking satan's stronghold. :-)

From my VPS in the US I get: 403: Access Forbidden: Malware detected

It appears to be hosted at mediatemple.net.

Like everyone else says, it's the website itself that is doing the blocking.  Goodness knows why.

They need to complain to either their web developers or their host, as it appears like they are blocking it at their end. They can access it via a proxy site like hidemyass

Wow, super security on that website, just ban everywhere from accessing it :P

Of course that defeats the purpose of a website, so perhaps suggest to your friend to ask for his hosting $ back.
