Hi There!

I have noticed that if I RDP to a computer (Most commonly my home or office PC's) that after I login via the console again when I am physically in front of it, that if I close all VISIBLE chrome windows, often times there are still between 5-10 Chrome.exe instances consuming considerable memory/resources.

Anyone else noticed this and know if it's normal behaviour or if there is anything that we can do to resolve it.

Unsure if this is related, but I found when I used xrdp to RE login to a linux server, after staying logged in and just closing the rdp window, it would start a brand new concurrent session with the same credentials. In other words, everything from my previous remote session was running in the background. Sounds a bit like your issue. But if it's just Chrome that's doing this, maybe the issue is with that browser. Have you tested with other stuff running from your previous session?

I doubt it's the same issue.

Chrome does support background apps, which can keep running even if there is no open Chrome window. Under Settings -> Show Advanced there is a tickbox for "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed". Try unselecting that option and see if it makes a difference?

Hmm I'll give that a go, sounds promising.
Thanks
