So I need to inventory a whole room full of equipment, which some has sat around for years.

I'm really hoping that there is a solution that basically has me, a hand held scanner and software that can do lookup by barcode on the internet?

Does anyone know of a piece of software that could help? I'm really hoping for freeware or similar (though I know I may be out of luck)

Smart phone app? The limiting factor is going to be whether the barcode is even present on the internet.

The likely chance is most of it is. Even if it means I still enter ~25% of them manually, thats still ~75% better off than what I was.

Is there a decent app you know of?
