I read a post on here that Crazy domains were selling .maori.nz for $1
Seems like a plan!

So I went and bought go.maori.nz

Now most of my domains I buy from Godaddy and host on godaddy so the purchase and application is a piece of cake

BUT buying a domain from one company then "pointing"? it at another to achieve what I now find out is called "Off-site" well its a pain the ****

Why easy you say

Well it is if you do it once a week or everyday but when you do it once every blue moon! You have to go through the learning curve of working it out

The answer ??

Take up another hobby? Marry a computer wizard?

They are losing something like $12.50($1.25 a month less tax for being offshore run) per .maori.nz per year and you can buy a 10 year term..Unless that fee has dropped since last year.

Also rather than keep it with CD transfer it to metaname or something(nz-nz between registrars is free iirc) as CD support is terrible.

My rare dealings with CrazyDomains have never been positive - their system has been a PITA to use.  Other budget providers have been just as annoying.  You get what you pay for.

It really doesn't matter if you are solely using them to register a .nz domain, as once it is registered, after 5 days you just transfer it out. I have had problems with them in the past when they overcharged me and refused to refund. They blamed a system update for the problem, and eventually it got resolved, but a lot of hassle. They also appear to be based overseas, as their call centre is based overseas somewhere. But when they are selling domains for a $1, I can over look that, when I am able to transfer it out afterwards.
