Who went to the Wellington Roadshow?

Is it just me or was it a lot smaller and more low key this year. HP stand was the only reasonably sized one. The number of visitors also seemed lighter than previous years.

Is this a sign of uncertainty in the sector?

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I went to the Auckland Roadshow on Tuesday and it was smaller than previous events also.

My wife who has been to many of these over the years, she felt the same. She also felt there was a flat atmosphere this year.

Due to the vendors or the organisation of the event from Ingram's part?

She felt the stands were lacking energy, the HP stand was good, the Vespas looked cool but the stands just lacked energy and numbers were down. Two notable absences were Acer and Samsung.

Visited today... Nice to be recognised by the folks, but as you said a lot smaller than previous years.

I didn't spend 45 minutes there. AntoniosK was there too (he's the one who reminded me).

I have a remote control Sphero here... Got one a few months back for my review.

Maybe a sign of the times with nothing much revolutionary coming out. Also with YouTube videos etc, people can find out more via videos and websites, and do it in their own time.

I also thought it was a lot smaller this year and I've noticed it declining for the last couple of years.

Many of the vendors don't seem to be putting in as much effort.  There were several stands that consisted of just one person and a banner and a few brochures on a table.

I went to the one in Chch and spent 20-25 mins there before leaving. Found the amount of information available and stands average. I asked one stand for a brochure on a product and was told they don't have brochures as they were being Green and that I can find all of the information online.

On another stand the guy demoing the product admitted that today was the first time he had seen and used the product....
