Yea saw the article and requested an invite this morning, looks promising.  I love the tabs that gmail introduced last year, so something like this would suit me.

I've requested invite. Hopefully it doesn't try to be too smart and still leaves enough room for me to manually sort and organise ...

Looks really nice, have tossed my name in the hat. If anyone gets a spare invite, I'd love to have a tinker with it!

Going to have a play, see what its like....looks like its going to do some similar things to the Windows 8.1 mail client in terms of automatically "sweeping" email that matches certain patterns, plus the extra bits sound interesting, particularly task management...

Just received my invite. Initial impression = not sure. Google's idea of easier inbox management for me is to pass more control to them ... not sure if I prefer this to good old fashioned hands on management of mail as it comes in. Will continue for a couple of weeks to see if I am won over.

I got my invite today, but I need to activate it on my Android or iOS phone first, before I can use it on the web.  Guess that's not going to happen then (WP)

Got my invite today...had a quick play, definitely looks kinda interesting, though it feels to me like it's "hiding" email from me!! Checking against the standard GMail inbox shows that it's not doing anything weird in that respect though...

Reminders set through Inbox come up in Google Now also, which is a nice touch...

Ok google, you have won me over. Really like this app.

Only hint I would give you new users, you need to make sure you 'trash' emails you don't ever need to see again, rather than tick 'done'. 'Done' is really useful for holding onto emails you may need to refer back to later.

Really like the simple interface, once you get used to how it's functions.

I thought the same things as well - it's hiding stuff from me, so initially I was checking back to the traditional app. But it wasn't, it just works well!

There's a Google Inbox happy hour going on right now, ends 1pm today. Guranteed invite if you send an email to inbox@google.com
