Hi,

We have an RODC that seems to have an incorrect time set, so is not visible to the domain. Correct timezone, but is about 8 hours out. It is pingable. Local admin obviously is out as it's a DC.

Any suggestions apart from a rebuild? It is an ESXi VM.

Cheers

Can you get someone to the console, disconnect the virtual network adapter, and walk someone through logging in with cached credentials?

This is an oldish article, but it may still work: http://lzeit.blogspot.co.nz/2007/02/wrong-time-on-domain-controller.html

From a quick glance, you login to the good DC, allow replication to "bad" DCs, then force replication with your "bad" DC.

Once it's fixed you'll want it to get time from the host (and make sure the host has a good time source). VMs do not provide accurate time sources.

Thanks good suggestions. Not sure who is there at the mo. It's actually in New Guinea. Anyway we do have remote access to the host.

Cheers
