Does anyone have an opinion on this web hosting review?
http://www.hosting-review.com/new-zealand.php

.. which places the top five Web hosting uptime/speed performance in this order:

HostPapa
CrazyDomains
Openhost
24/7 Hosting
Freeparking

I have always been a fan of Freeparking, so I am sad to see them down the list. Right now I am looking for a hosting service which has a good uptime, and consistently rapid delivery of web content from bloatware sites like Joomla, Wordpress, Druple.

I notice on Geekzone there is no shortage of discussion of broadband performance .. so what about the other end? Is hosting-review.com the only outfit doing analysis of hosting platforms? Does Truenet do anything in this arena?

Never heard of HostPapa.  CrazyDomains are a PITA to make DNS changes in their control panel IIRC, not used OpenHost, Not used 24/7, big FreeParking fans.

Not noticed any outages with FP in the last 4 years.  Changes are easy to make via their portal.  Support has never let us down.  ricing feels reasonable to me.

PocketSmith for budgeting and personal finance management.  A great Kiwi company.

Looks more like an SEO spam site than any legitimate review site to me.

Just an FYI, after doing some quick searching "HostPapa" appears to not only be a US company, but they also don't seem to have servers in NZ. They are simply marketing their overseas services to NZers.

Doesn't look like an independent review website. At least one of the hosts on it has long gone.  Maybe companies pay to be on it? Maybe it was setup by one of the hosting companies? I would be wary of any hosting review website as they are often setup by a web host. Or often they are paid directories for web hosting companies to pay to be on.

I would not trust that site given that there top suggestion referral link includes a special deal for coming from hosting review.
