Dears
kindly i need an advise what server to buy for my business
i plan to use VMware ,windows server 2012 and Dynamics Ax 2012 250 users share point and qlickview,

please help me choose
anyone experienced problem with Fujitsu servers and their reliability
same for IBM

Who can offer you the best warranty/ support and SLAs

Does Fujitsu or IBM offer best bang for buck?

Who is going to install it, do they have experience with IBM servers or Fujitsu?

IBM servers are much more common here in NZ than Fujitsu. Will they offer you an amazing deal to win your business?

Whats wrong with other providers like HP and Dell?

I know that Dell have amazing support.

We face bad support for all servers brands.
but with Fujitsu i have been offered 5 years Warranty and 1 year free SLA on all windows and applications setup .
I am a bit afraid to go with Fujitsu (i have no experience and no clear feedback )

Our data centre is full of Fujitsu gear (100's of servers) and we have almost zero issues with them. Get the odd faulty RAM stick but other than that the are great.

I even ran some of our old ones in my garage while doing a project and they also ran without fault.

What sort of Spec are you looking for?

Rack units?
CPU?
RAM?
Storage?

I noticed Salloumi is in the Lebanon.
It is probably worth pointing out that geekzone is a New Zealand based forum - but of course people from all over the world post on here which is the great thing about the internet.

Just a note to Salloumi - firstly - welcome to geekzone.
Secondly - The Fujitsu name tends to be not that well known in New Zealand - apart from selling heatpumps.
While they do sell servers etc to some quite large businesses they arent all that well known in other parts of the market and dont tend to market their computer hardware very aggressively.

Ahh yes, my mistake.

I would still recommend getting a few quotes from local re-sellers of the top brands, Dell, HP, IBM, Etc and then phone the support line for each of the providers and see how long you have to wait :)

we used to be solely IBM but have recently started getting Supermicro gear. Its sooooo much cheaper and just as reliable as IBM (lenovo) in my experience so far.

I wouldn't say IBM is so great, but Supermicro is a big NO.
I've heard some horror stories about non recoverable raid arrays, multiple hardware failures and replacements one after another, plus support that is not great.
Yes, you can buy them cheap as in PBTech, but quality wise you can't compare them with vendors like Dell.
Even Huawei seems to be better choice than Supermicro.

You couldn't PAY me to go with Fujitsu, admittedly my experience is 5+ years old now, but they were rubbish, terrible support, crappy quality, I'd buy Dell before Fujistu and I think very lowly of Dell so that is really saying something!

Of the two choices IBM is a clear winner at any price, though wouldn't be a patch on HP (Compaq) servers for my money (20 years experience).
