Few days back, my credit card payment to renewal of the domains failed twice but still charged.

I have asked support chat and they said they couldn't find the record of the payment and refereed to accounting department which I have no news from them yet.

Today, their domain management system is down and the live chat guy told me that there is no ETA for on-line.

Are the company in trouble or is it just in bad-timing?

I have 20+ domains with them and had no problem until last few days.

Domains4less I believe are Domain Agent (aka Webdrive) resellers. Webdrive have been having a lot of trouble with their control panel recently, with it being out of action all of Monday and pretty much all today as well.

Here's the outage notice: https://support.webhost.co.nz/index.php?/webdrive/News/NewsItem/View/68/network-issues---control-panel-offline-update

I can't comment on your payment issue, but the control panel being down would be out of their (Domains4less) control.

I got out of Domains4Less a while ago as they were unresponsive to any support requests, then failed to refund us, then charged us for phone support after expressly telling us they wouldn't (as it was a follow-up due to their mistake).

What domain provider are you using now?
If this outage getting too long, I may also have to change to some other provider

http://1stdomains.nz/

m
oved my 5 domains there. NZ ones are really easy, .com took AAAAGES (I think that is just a .com thing, no reflection on either domains4less or 1stdomains).

It was down a couple of days ago too, although that time it said it was due to a DOS attack. But in this case it has been down for most of the day.

Just been onto their website to look for a status update as it is still down, and looks like they are changing their name to Umbrella cloud hosting

It's working again now.

I should consider moving it, can anyone suggest a domain provider that can also transfer zone file altogether?

Had the same thing happen with my domain payments around a year ago - took them so long to sort out a simple billing issue - had to send them bank statements etc turned into a real drama.

Moved all my domains to 1st domains and haven't had any issues since.

Do D4L let you output an actual zonefile?

If so, Metaname would probably be able to help

Yes, the control panel that was down does it. Their basic control panel which just does namerserver changes wasn't down.

I notice it is back up but it doesn't look like they have fixed it fully as their status page does say

"Our engineers are still monitoring the situation but we do expect this issue to happen again."

I left Domains4less. My .nz domains are all with Metaname who charge more but are contactable and support DNSSEC and IPV6.

What I'm frustrating at the moment is that they are sending emails from same email address with different names and asking same information that I already gave.

It's more like passing a bag around by a bunch of tall kids while I'm at the middle chasing it.

I have asked to supply contact phone number or call me but they kept quiet on this.

They have an 0900 number, but free email support. What sort of problem are you having, as it is all self service so you should be able to do everything from inside the control panel?
