I am needing to move some servers into a datacentre, preferably in Wellington. I was wondering if anyone knew what I should expect to pay for a 40-45U rack and 15-32amps of power.

Also, if anyone can recommend a good datacentre in Wellington, thanks.

I'm considering Citylink in Wellington - anyone had any experience with them, and does anyone know what they would charge for a full rack?

DTS Upper Hutt $1,490

Xtreme Networks $1,199

So I would guess somewhere in that ballpark

Xtreme would be mid point for these security, back up and price and have a good operation. If you want some detailed info pm me.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Their website says it includes 15amps, or 3.4 kw

How important is uptime for your needs? Critical or you could cope with an outage here and there? You might want to ask some pertinent questions of whoever you choose because there are a lot of cowboys in the NZ DC industry who glaze over things like redundancy with gobblegook speak and misleading customers (Jesus don't get me started on tier ratings...).

If you want I can help you with what questions to ask, if you really value uptime and reliability.

(I manage a large DC, not in Wellington though so I don't have any vested interests...:)

I've heard good things about Xtreme. An industry colleague has just installed a dozen or so racks in there for a major client and wouldn't of done so unless it was the real deal.
