Hi Guys,

I have a small business that has 3 PCs networked as a home group using the standard vodafone broadband modem. Thus allowing them to share files etc.
On two of these PCs, I need to deny access to all Websites except about a dozen sites. ie banking etc. The 3rd PC will be able to access all.

As its such a basic/small business i didnt want to go all out and purchase servers to to make this happen, eg Web Marshal, Domain Controller etc.

Is there anything cost effective and simple to configure that would work for this instance?

thanks,

You could try a DNS like openDNS and whitelist the web address they need access too.

Put the 2 that don't need access on the OpenDNS DNS and leave the 3rd on the ISP dns

OpenDNS have something like this...

Locking Down: Whitelist-Only Mode

Its not impossible to work around but probably suitable for small business.

Not sure if it costs, the atricle seems to imply this. But there was definitely a free tier to openDNS.

edit: beaten by 1 second. damn.
