I have a Cisco 300 Series POE switch in my office, Cisco have just kindly sent me one of their new Meraki cloud managed switches POE switches. To make this simple I'll refer to the 300 series as switch A and the Meraki unit as switch B

If I plug switch B switch into any of switch A's POE ports any POE device that I then plug into switch A won't get power. If Switch B is plugged into a non POE port all is well..

Please tell me this isn't normal, Im pretty sure I have't come across this issue in the past.

Try disabling PoE on the port to switch B. In interface config mode put in "power inline never" Or are you trying to power the switch by PoE? If it works OK in a non PoE port, why not just use that?
