I'm getting commit notifications over slack from bitbucket. These include the commit notes.

Commit notes longer than three lines have a 'show more' link. The show more link displays the remaining notes.

I would prefer to see the full commit notes in slack messaging without a need to click 'show more'. Is that a preference on the client side? Or is that elsewhere, I can look at changing it.

Edit: client is slack windows.

Pretty sure that will a function of the BitBucket integration with Slack (i.e. nothing to do with your Slack client).

If I turn that off or reconfigure that at the bitbucket end, are there any long message handling provisions in slack?

Other users may have a different personal preference so I will need to provide for that if I make a change.

I think there are limits to what Slack will show in a single message but I am not an expert on what they are and how to configure sorry.

Thanks anyway! I expect now it is message formatting or something similar and unlikely to be configurable per client in any way.

I don't think that's a Slack platform limit either - Slack has a single message limit but that's definitely more than 3 lines.

Could be how the integration app you're using is setup?

Yep. If it can't be configured on a per user basis on the client side I'm unlikely to look at a change.
