Microsoft Edge browser. The www usage stats are absolutely tiny.

It is the default browser for Windows 10.

What is your experience with windows 10 deployment and Edge?

Interested in this too. I'm pretty much locked into chrome for personal and dev work, but the few times I've used edge on the surface pro it seems decent and works well with touch.  Since I'll soon be moving to a windows 10 laptop at work, and Microsoft claims to have done a bunch of work on Edge to preserve battery life too, I'm interested in real world experiences, though more from the user\dev side than deployment\management.

(It being from Microsoft seems to give it an automatic fail for a lot of people though)

Personally I tried Edge after every Windows update and it always fails at something - Tweetdeck crashing after a few minutes, scripts not running, LastPass add-on failing. I will give it a try sure, because I'd like to have LESS stuff installed and personally I think Chrome uses too many resources (mainly memory).

Edge occasionally (once a week) freezes but Tweetdeck is never an issue for me. I have Tweetdeck plus six other regular tabs set aside on Edge while a dozen or more so open all the time.

I don't use Edge with Win10. Firefox + Add-ons is still my preferred choice.

Edges default search engine : Bing , is its biggest issue, by far .
Bing gives some really bogus results, sending novices off to some dodgy sites . Even searching for MS's own products on Bing, the search results
are pretty damn bad.

Sure its not that hard to change search default from Bing, but far too many dont know how .

It's pretty easy to change the search engine.

my main gripe with Edge is the inability to search from the context menu after highlighting text, apart from that it appears to be fine for me.. fast and useable.

I'm pretty sure the first time you fire it up it has a reasonably clear popup that asks if you want to keep defaults or set your own search engine, etc, etc...?

We have Edge as our default browser in our Windows 10 SOE and have policy to automatically open legacy apps in IE when needed.

That said we also allow users to install Chrome via our self-service portal for staff who wish to use it.

That's what the Auckland CCO I work for does, unfortunately they have a group policy that reverts to IE on every reboot despite it having issues when switching between networks, wired or wireless.
