I don't know if this is the right forum, but does anyone know what is going on with the IRD website and Chrome at the moment ?

Three of my clients in the last week have called to say they are getting a "Bad Response" error when trying to access the site. Clearing the cache works allows you back in but one had it work for a few days and another for only an hour.

Clearly something is being stored on their PC which is I assume is expiring, but I don't know what.

Anyone know ?

Wish I know as well. I had the problem using Opera on a Sunday night, so I figured it was a day end / week end run. Worked fin on Monday in the same browser / new tab session.

I've had soo many problem with it too. Thinking of doing the next returns by paper as I can't login from any browser. I called them and they won't acknowledge it either even though happened on multiple logins and multiple computers.

I listened in as one client called them and they wouldn't acknowledge it either.

We had all sorts of problems with them a few months ago. An accountant was being constantly locked out. Having the automatic password reset failed and calling them directly failed miserably. They just wouldn't help at all. It was two weeks of this before they agreed to manually reset the password and email us only to find out they had a typo in the email address. She's been logging in daily for years but the address must have been changed during some kind of migration they said.

I spent 10 years doing migrations with millions of customers and find it laughable if that is how it happened.

I've stopped using myIRD for these reasons.   Reverted to paper - actually faster, for personal tax.

Just use IE, can't expect government run websites to be updated as frequently as Chrome.

I accessed MyIRD today, Safari. I assume the mainstream IE, FF and Safari are fine. Having said that, there should be a standard for browsers but there isnt. Where I work we use FF. "Try IE" or if an issue with IE "try FF"
