I have been using TM since 2003 and I am waht they call a "Top Seller" with a 18000 odd feedback score

I say this to add weight to my question (that I have some idea of what I am talking about re TM)

I have never seen a piece of software that pulls a listing form TM and recreates it as a Product in Woocommerce. Effectivly building a store with all items one sells on TM.

Have you? no really have you?

I definately think this would be a goer if it could be built for a sensible price

Are you asking this because Trademe is effectively your "master" list of products?

Traditionally most retailers will have their master product list in their eCommerce platform and then export it out and use any number of companies to handle pushing products into different market places, trademe/ebay/amazon etc.

pretty sure TM would say that their T+C's give them exclusive control over everything on their site, and scraping is violating their IP

Shouldn't need to scrape, just use their API.

From what I understand (not a lawyer) the two entities TM and My site are Not allowed to be showing a advertised connection.

That would have been impressive, given WooCommerce didn't exist in 2003. :)

Trademe has a page with some integrations. But its eCommerce to Trade Me, and not the other way around.

If I wasn't the wrong side of 60 and had the three years to go and get my computer science degree so that I could understand and use this Magic! API thingy I would.

When I first heard they were doing the API thing I thought great until I went to give it a go LOL way above my pay grade.

Going e commerce to TM has a multitude of options I understand

Worth posting up your requirements on Freelancer.com and see what you get.

Looking at their API page, its a RESTful API so would be fairly trivial to pull the info you want with some simple PHP. Then it's just a case of how to plug it in to your eCommerce software.

You can use this method to do a search base don your member ID: https://developer.trademe.co.nz/api-reference/search-methods/general-search/

How do you get your products into Trademe currently?

I only ask because if there was a source for your products outside of Trademe, that would be where I would start.

Having a quick look at the API, it looks like the method would be retrieve-your-unsold-items

It shouldn't be too hard to get your listings out. I know nothing about woocommerce though. I could have a look at that at some point this week.

TradeMe's TradeRunner product is designed to connect e-commerce and trademe retail channels. Basically you manage product descriptions, pricing and inventory from TradeRunner and it syncs it across your various sales channels. WooCommerce is a listed channel.

ChannelAdvisor will do it too (though for much greater cost).
