Hi.

Ive used this tool for some time, and its great, but recently when trying to connect to any of my iMacs remotely I've been greeted by a black screen which I cant navigate away from.

I see a number of TeamViewer users are experiencing the same issue across multiple platforms in online forums, but I've wondered if any Geekzone members have discovered a way around this issue in the meantime.

Regards

Mark.

My solution was to goto another product unfortunately. Been using TV for years but lately their "bugs/quirks" were driving me up the wall. Now using AnyDesk which was developed by ex-TV staff. Not had a single issue with it so far.

yes i have been having this problem, mainly on machines with no monitor attached

my workaround i found is, once connected, click on view, then click a few times between optimize speed, optimize quality buttons

and then the display comes back

Thanks for the heads up on AnyDesk. I was considering upgrading my Teamviewer 10 account because I need to do easy remote support again, but this seems much better.

I used Anydesk for a long time to control my streaming pc. Haven't needed it for awhile but it always worked flawlessly. At the time I tried TV first, had some issues, looked at Anydesk and never went back.

Interesting. I use TeamViewer on a daily basis and haven't seen this behaviour - but all my machines are Windows only...

We use TV also and I've been getting a bit annoyed with it recently. Seems to perform worse and get slower with each new version. Might give AnyDesk a go.

For free you can always use Chrome Remote Desktop, which works really well.
